Potable water trucks or carts are special vehicles that fill up drinking water tanks and the water tanks in the lavatories for washing hands in aircraft. The water is filtered and protected from the elements while being stored on the vehicle. A pump in the vehicle assists in moving the water from the truck or the cart to the aircraft.
